Gaza: More than 80 percent of structures across the Gaza Strip have been damaged during the war, according to the latest satellite assessment by the United Nations Satellite Centre (UNOSAT).

UNOSAT found that 201,290 structures, or about 82 percent of all structures in Gaza, had been affected as of June 16.

Of these, more than 134,000 were classified as destroyed, while thousands more were assessed as severely or moderately damaged.

Destruction across Gaza

The damage has affected homes and other buildings across the enclave, leaving large areas heavily destroyed.

UN data also shows that more than 328,000 housing units have been damaged. The number of destroyed structures increased by 9 percent compared with the previous assessment in October 2025.

A separate UN assessment published earlier this year estimated that Gaza would require about $71.4 billion over the next decade for recovery and reconstruction. It found that more than 371,000 housing units had been destroyed or damaged after two years of conflict.

The scale of destruction has left millions of Palestinians displaced and created enormous challenges for rebuilding homes, public services and essential infrastructure.
