Indian airline IndiGo has cancelled all flights to and from Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam and Madinah until October 17 due to the evolving security situation in Saudi Arabia.

In an advisory issued on today, the airline said the cancellations would remain in effect until the specified date as it continues to monitor developments.

Passengers have been advised to check their flight status before leaving for the airport. IndiGo said updates would be sent to customers through the contact details provided during booking.

The airline said it was coordinating with relevant authorities and that passenger safety remained its priority.

The cancellations come amid wider disruption to air travel in Saudi Arabia following attacks on Riyadh airport, which has remained closed. Several international airlines have also suspended or adjusted services to the country.
