President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu officially established the state corporation on July 16, 2026, to oversee the comprehensive development of Hankede in Addu City under an integrated tourism model. The government appointed members to the company’s Board of Directors on August 27, 2026.
The primary objective of the corporation is to expand the tourism sector in Addu City, ensuring that local residents benefit directly from tourism revenues while strengthening community participation and meeting national economic goals.
