President Dr Mohamed Muizzu officially opened the exhibition at a special ceremony. After the opening, the President and First Lady Sajidha Mohamed visited several stalls to view the products on display.
This year’s expo features 4,404 products from 419 participants, marking a significant increase from last year’s exhibition, which had 2,400 products from 240 participants.
Of this year’s participants, 321 are individuals, while 75 are businesses and 16 are people with disabilities. Educational institutions, associations and state-owned companies are also taking part.
The exhibition covers 16 sectors and 73 categories. Traditional Maldivian crafts account for the largest number of products, with 1,695 entries, followed by creative arts and design, with 920 products.
Other categories include food, jewellery, fashion, literature, fisheries, technology, tourism and renewable energy.

The expo features seven districts, compared with five last year. Two new sections have been introduced: the Visitor Economy District, focusing on tourism-related products and services, and the International Exhibitors District.
Other sections showcase creative businesses, digital innovations, entertainment, Maldivian cultural activities and products from small and medium-sized enterprises.
The exhibition aims to promote local talent, give creators and businesses an opportunity to showcase their work, and support the growth of the Maldives’ creative industries.
The expo will run until November 2 and is open to the public daily from 4:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. at Hulhumale’ Central Park.
