Two expatriates remain missing after a landing craft capsized near K. Gaafaru on July 31. MNDF continues search operations by sea, air and underwater, and has requested public assistance in locating them.

The Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) continues search operations for two expatriates who remain missing after a landing craft capsized near K. Gaafaru on July 31 due to bad weather.
The MNDF said Coast Guard teams are conducting sea and air searches, while divers are also involved in the operation. Despite covering thousands of square kilometres, the two individuals have not yet been located.
Ten people were aboard the vessel when it overturned, and eight have been rescued.
The MNDF has requested vessels in the area and nearby island communities to report any information related to the missing individuals.
