President Mohamed Muizzu has appointed Uz Amjad Mustafa as the new President of the Employment Tribunal. Amjad took his oath at the President’s Office and brings previous experience in legal and public administration, having served in the same role in 2020.

President Mohamed Muizzu has appointed Uz Amjad Mustafa as the President of the Employment Tribunal.
Amjad Mustafa took his oath of office during a special ceremony held at the President’s Office on Wednesday morning. The oath was administered by Supreme Court Judge Abdulla Hameed, following which he received his official appointment letter from President Muizzu.
Amjad Mustafa holds a Bachelor’s degree in Shariah Law and a Master of Business Administration (MBA). He has extensive experience
in legal affairs and public administration.
He previously served on the Minimum Wage Advisory Board and has held the position of President of the Employment Tribunal in 2020. His reappointment comes as the government continues efforts to strengthen labour dispute resolution mechanisms.
