The new portal aims to strengthen the Maldivian job market by connecting workers, employers and career advisers while providing tools for job searches, skills development and long-term career planning.

The National Career Service (NCS) has launched “My Career Portal,” a new online platform aimed at making it easier for Maldivians to find jobs and plan their careers.
The portal was officially launched by Minister of Homeland Security and Technology Ali Ihsan. It was developed under the Maldives 2.0 initiative with funding from the World Bank-supported SAILS project.
The new platform brings job seekers, employers and career advisers together through a single system. It is designed to improve access to employment opportunities while helping users develop the skills needed for their future careers.
One of the main features is career guidance, which allows users to connect with trained advisers, set career goals and follow action plans designed to help them progress professionally.
The portal also includes a Career Pathway Designer, which helps users create a long-term career plan with guidance from relevant experts.
Another feature, the Milestone Tracker, allows users to keep their education, training, work experience and achievements in one place. This can also help identify areas where additional skills or qualifications may be needed.
Through its Job Matching service, the portal can recommend vacancies based on a user’s skills and make the application process easier.
Officials say the platform is intended to create a more organized employment system while giving job seekers better access to career planning and professional development resources.
