Jameela Ali Khalid has been appointed as the Maldives ambassador to the United Kingdom, filling the position left vacant since April.

Male’: Jameela Ali Khalid has been appointed as the Maldives ambassador to the United Kingdom at a ceremony held at the President’s Office today.
President Dr Mohamed Muizzu presented Jameela with the letter of credence during the ceremony held this morning.
Jameela has held several senior positions in government and most recently served as Ambassador at Large at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
She served as the Maldives first ambassador to Germany from 2017 to 2019.
Jameela also previously served as a member and later Vice President of the Civil Service Commission.
