Yemen’s internationally recognized government says the Houthis launched fresh ballistic missile attacks on al-Makha and Marib, as fighting intensifies across the country.

Yemen’s internationally recognized government has accused the Houthi movement of launching another round of ballistic missile attacks on the Red Sea port city of al-Makha and residential areas in Marib.
Yemeni forces did not report any casualties from Monday’s missile attacks.
The latest strikes came a day after Houthi missile attacks on al-Makha killed at least seven people and injured 30 others, according to local reports. The attacks also caused significant damage around the port.
A Houthi drone strike in the south-central province of Shabwa on Monday reportedly killed two government soldiers and wounded seven others.
Yemeni forces said they also carried out attacks against Houthi positions in eastern al-Jawf, northwestern Saada and central Marib.
The latest exchange of attacks marks a major escalation in Yemen’s long-running conflict, which had largely remained under a truce since 2022.
The United Nations has warned that Yemen faces its greatest risk of renewed large-scale conflict since the April 2022 truce, with the escalation potentially drawing the country deeper into the wider regional conflict.
