The government has rejected a report claiming the President’s Office blocked the release of President Mohamed Muizzu’s financial declaration.

Male’: The government has rejected a report by “Adhadhu” claiming the President’s Office blocked the release of President Mohamed Muizzu’s financial declaration.
Chief Government Spokesperson Mohamed Hussain Shareef said the report was false.
He said President Muizzu’s asset declaration is already available on the President’s Office website. The document can be downloaded as a PDF, Shareef said.
He also said the declaration had previously been shared with the media.
Shareef accused “Adhadhu” of spreading false information about the government for political purposes.
He said the government would continue to clarify such claims and inform the public of what it says are the facts.
