The Gemanafushi Magistrate Court has issued a public notice seeking to confirm whether Hassan Mohamed, who disappeared at sea in the early 1980s, is alive or deceased.

The legal announcement was initiated after his heirs applied to declare his death so they could legally claim and transfer his shares in the Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC).
