Chinese smartphone brand TECNO has been named the official title sponsor for the 2026 SAFF Championship in Dhaka, set to take place from November 4 to 17.

Chinese smartphone manufacturer TECNO has been named the official title sponsor of South Asia’s premier regional football tournament, the SAFF Championship.
Following the sponsorship agreement, this year’s regional showpiece will officially be branded as the "TECNO SAFF Championship 2026." The tournament is scheduled to take place in Dhaka, Bangladesh, from November 4 to November 17.
The South Asian Football Federation (SAFF), in collaboration with the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF), officially launched the flagship tournament during a special launch ceremony held at the Sheraton Dhaka. The event brought together football administrators, regional diplomats, sports officials, media representatives, and digital influencers.
Maldives' High Commissioner to Bangladesh, Shiuneen Rasheed, represented the Maldives at the official launching event.
Speaking at the ceremony, SAFF General Secretary Purushottam Kattel stated that the strategic partnership with TECNO will elevate the regional tournament to greater heights, enhancing fan engagement and commercial growth across South Asia.
The title sponsorship comes as a significant boost for the regional tournament, which had faced challenges securing international title sponsors in recent years. Previous
title sponsors of the SAFF Championship include major global brands such as Coca-Cola, Karbonn Mobiles, and Suzuki.
India (9 Titles): 1993, 1997, 1999, 2005, 2009, 2011, 2015, 2021, 2023 (Most successful team in SAFF history).
Maldives (2 Titles): 2008, 2018 (Second most successful nation).
Bangladesh (1 Title): 2003.
Sri Lanka (1 Title): 1995.
Afghanistan (1 Title): 2013 (Former member before joining CAFA in 2015).
