Applicants seeking flats or land under the Government’s "Boahiya Vahikan Emmenah" policy will be given seven days to submit documents if issues are found during verification.

MALÉ: The Ministry of Housing has said applicants who submitted forms for flats or land in Malé under the Government’s “Boahiya Vahikan Emmenah” policy will be given seven days to provide additional documents if issues are identified during verification.
The ministry said it is currently cross-checking information provided in applications against records obtained from government institutions and councils.
If discrepancies are found, applicants will be notified through the Boahiya Vahikan portal.
Applicants who believe the information identified by the ministry is incorrect, or who wish to raise an objection, will have seven calendar days to provide details and supporting documents.
Information on issues identified in applications will be sent to the mobile numbers provided by applicants when submitting their forms.
If an applicant fails to respond within the given period, the application may be considered as failing to meet the requirements or as having incomplete documentation.
The ministry has also stressed that responses to issues identified in applications must be submitted only through the Boahiya Vahikan portal. Responses sent by email, letter or other means will not be accepted at this stage.
The ministry began cross-verifying applications submitted under the Boahiya Vahikan policy on June 22.
A total of 58,505 applications were submitted for flats and land before the application deadline, including 35,930 applications for flats and 22,575 applications for land.
The Government has announced plans to provide 7,900 flats and 15,000 plots of land measuring 1,250 square feet under the scheme.
