The Privatization and Corporatization Board (PCB) has officially removed Ahmed Niyaz (Hasankaarige, S. Meedhoo) from his position as Managing Director and member of the Board of Directors at the Maldives Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC).

The termination came into effect on Thursday, July 23, 2026, according to a public notice issued by the state regulatory body on social media. The PCB did not disclose the specific reasons behind his sudden dismissal.
