Israeli military helicopters opened fire near Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza early today, while artillery shelling was reported across areas of the northern Gaza Strip.

Gaza: Israeli military helicopters opened fire in the vicinity of the Jabalia refugee camp shortly after midnight today, according to Palestinian news agency WAFA. The incident came as Israeli forces continued military activity across northern Gaza.
Artillery fire was also reported in several areas of northern Gaza. WAFA said the latest attacks took place amid continued Israeli operations in the Palestinian enclave.
Medical sources cited by WAFA said seven people were brought to Gaza hospitals over the previous 24 hours. The figure included people killed in recent strikes, as well as victims whose bodies were recovered from earlier attacks.
A further 25 people were reported injured during the same period. WAFA said several victims remained trapped under rubble and along roads as ambulance and civil defence teams faced difficulties reaching them.
According to the same medical sources, the Palestinian death toll from Israel’s military offensive in Gaza had reached 73,669 since October 7, 2023, while 174,652 people had been injured. Women and children make up the majority of those killed, the sources said.
