MNDF records 29 emergency incidents across Maldives in one week

The Maldives National Defence Force recorded 29 emergency incidents across the country between August 30 and September 5, with fires making up the largest share.

Male’: The Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) recorded 29 emergency incidents across different parts of the Maldives last week, according to its weekly report covering August 30 to September 5.

Of the incidents reported during the week, 12 were fire related incidents, while 11 involved hazardous materials.

The MNDF also responded to four medical evacuation cases and two incidents involving the rescue of people.

Most incidents reported in Male’

Male’ recorded the highest number of incidents during the week, with 26 cases reported in the capital.

Two incidents were reported in the Southern Area, while one incident was recorded in the Northern Area.

The figures were included in the MNDF’s weekly emergency incident report for the period.
