Police have arrested a 55 year old school teacher after he allegedly attacked and killed his wife and three minor children with a machete early on today morning.

Jonai, India: Police in Assam have detained a 55 year old primary school teacher accused of killing his wife and three minor children in a brutal early morning machete attack.
Firoz Ali allegedly attacked his family members inside their home located in the Telam Bazar area of Jonai. The victims were identified as 33 year old Chinuwara Begum along with three young children aged thirteen, eight, and five. Emergency responders declared all four dead at the scene.
Neighborhood residents discovered the violence early in the morning today and confronted the suspect. Witnesses restrained Ali until law enforcement officers arrived at the location to make a formal arrest. Forensic teams have processed the area and collected physical evidence to support the ongoing investigation.
