Maldives Parliament Speaker Abdul Raheem Abdullah has travelled to Cambodia to attend the second Inter-Parliamentary Speakers Conference from August 26 to 28.
Parliament Speaker Abdul Raheem Abdullah has travelled to Phnom Penh, Cambodia, to participate in the second Inter-Parliamentary Speakers Conference (ISC), being held from August 26 to 28.
Abdul Raheem is scheduled to speak on “Unity for Peace and Stability: Strengthening International Law and Resolving Issues Through Peaceful Means.”
The conference brings together speakers and senior officials from legislatures to discuss peace, international law, conflict resolution and development-related issues.
Abdul Raheem is accompanied by Hulhudhoo MP Mohamed Shahid, Machangoalhi South MP Mustafa Hussain and Faresmaathodaa MP Ashraf Rasheed.
Chief of Bureau Ahmed Nihan Hussain Manik and Foreign Relations Department Assistant Director General Zuyyina Badhree are also part of the delegation.
The ISC provides a platform for parliamentary leaders to exchange views on strengthening peace and international law, resolving conflicts and advancing sustainable development.
