The permanent list of recipients for flats and land under the government’s Housing for All scheme will be announced by mid-December, Housing Ministry State Minister Ahmed Nazim Mohamed has said.

A total of 58,505 applications were submitted under the scheme, including 35,930 applications for flats and 22,575 for land.

The Housing Ministry is currently verifying the applications by cross-checking information provided by applicants with records from government institautions and councils.

Applicants with missing information or discrepancies will be notified through the Housing Portal and given seven days to submit additional documents or correct their applications.

Final list expected in December

Speaking on state media’s Raajje Miadhu programme, Nazim said the evaluation process is expected to be completed by early December, after which the permanent list will be announced around the middle of the month.

He said information on the locations of the allocated flats and land plots will also be shared with the public as the evaluation progresses.

Nazim urged applicants to cooperate with the ministry and report any discrepancies through the Housing Portal to ensure the process remains on schedule.

Under the Housing for All scheme, the government plans to provide 7,900 flats and 15,000 land plots, with each plot measuring 1,250 square feet.
