Mariyam Muna has been appointed Secretary General of the Maldives Pool Billiard Association, with plans to promote the sport, support youth development and create more international opportunities for Maldivian players.

Mariyam Muna has been appointed as the new Secretary General of the Maldives Pool Billiard Association (MPBA).
The MPBA Executive Committee announced Muna’s appointment and congratulated her, expressing hope that she will help further develop the association and the sport.
Muna has previously held several senior administrative positions. She served as an Assistant Director at the Ministry of Defence and later worked as Director of Operations at the Police Integrity Commission.
She has also served on the Employment Tribunal, including as a commissioner, and was previously President of the Human Rights Commission of the Maldives. She later worked as Corporate Secretary at Asia Shipping and International Trading.
Muna holds a Master of Business Administration from Edith Cowan University in Australia.
She replaces Abdulla Bishar, who previously served as the MPBA Secretary General.
