Israeli airstrikes across the Gaza Strip have killed at least 17 Palestinians, according to local officials, as fighting continues despite ongoing efforts to reach a ceasefire.
The strikes targeted several areas, including Gaza City, Deir al-Balah and Khan Younis, causing deaths, injuries and damage to civilian infrastructure.
The Israeli military said the attacks were aimed at Hamas positions, while Palestinian authorities said civilians were among those affected.
The latest strikes come as international mediators continue efforts to secure a ceasefire deal and address the worsening humanitarian situation in Gaza, where residents face shortages of food, medicine and other essential supplies.
