MNDF Coast Guard continues searching for two expatriates missing after a landing craft carrying 10 people capsized near K. Gaafaru. Eight people have been rescued and are being cared for on the island.

Male’ – Maldives: The MNDF Coast Guard continues search efforts for two people who went missing after a landing craft capsized near K. Gaafaru this morning.
The vessel was carrying 10 people, including two Maldivians and eight expatriates. Police said eight people have been rescued, while two expatriates remain missing.
Gaafaru Island Council President Mubashir Jaleel said the rescued individuals are being accommodated at a guesthouse on the island, where they are receiving care and monitoring.
Authorities continue efforts to locate the missing persons as search operations remain ongoing.
