Typhoon Noul has hit southern China with heavy rain and strong winds, forcing hundreds of thousands of people to evacuate and disrupting transport services.

GUANGDONG, China: Typhoon Noul made landfall in southern China’s Guangdong province on Sunday, bringing heavy rain, strong winds, and flooding to several areas. Authorities issued warnings as the storm affected millions of people across the region.
More than 700,000 people were evacuated from areas at risk before the typhoon reached land. Emergency teams were deployed as strong winds damaged buildings, uprooted trees, and caused power outages in some areas.
The typhoon disrupted daily life in southern China and nearby Hong Kong. Hundreds of flights were canceled or delayed, while
ferry services and some public transport operations were suspended due to dangerous weather conditions.
Officials warned that heavy rain could continue even after the typhoon weakens, increasing the risk of flooding and landslides. Rescue teams remain on standby as the storm moves further inland.
