Iran has submitted a 14-point response to a U.S. proposal aimed at ending the tensions arising from the attacks carried out by the United States and Israel against Iran on February 28. This was revealed by Iran's Tasnim News Agency and Press TV.

Iran's Main Proposals

One of the most significant aspects of the plan proposed by Iran is that, instead of the two-month ceasefire proposed by the U.S., all issues should be resolved and the war completely ended within 30 days. Furthermore, Iran has called for guarantees that no military attacks will be carried out in the future and for the withdrawal of U.S. troops from the regions surrounding Iran.

Additional points in Iran's proposal include ending the naval blockade, releasing frozen Iranian financial assets, providing compensation for damages incurred, and lifting imposed sanctions. Iran has also requested an end to the ongoing war in Lebanon and the establishment of a new system for monitoring the Strait of Hormuz.

The U.S. Response

U.S. President Donald Trump stated on Saturday that

Iran's new proposals are being studied. However, speaking to reporters on Friday, Trump indicated that he was not particularly satisfied with Iran's proposals.

"They want to make a deal, but I’m not happy with it yet. So let’s see what happens," Trump said.

Previously, the U.S. had proposed a 15-point framework to Iran. This included the complete opening of the Strait of Hormuz and the cessation of Iran's nuclear program. According to an Iranian official, Iran's response has now been handed over to Pakistan.
