The United Arab Emirates (UAE) General Civil Aviation Authority has announced that it has lifted all air travel restrictions imposed since the start of the conflict involving the United States, Israel, and Iran.

In a statement released on Saturday, the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority stated that all operations within the country's airspace have now returned to "normal status." The authority noted that this decision was made in coordination with relevant agencies after a comprehensive assessment of operational and security matters.

This decision marks a significant development for Dubai International Airport—the world's busiest airport for international travelers—and Abu Dhabi Airport. Since late February, both hubs had been operating under strict measures necessitated by the conflict. While the war caused major disruptions to Middle Eastern air travel, countries including Iraq, Jordan, Qatar, Bahrain, and Kuwait had also previously closed their airspace.

During the early stages of the conflict, Emirates and flydubai temporarily suspended all

flights, while Etihad Airways also halted all departures from Abu Dhabi. According to the aviation data firm 'Cirium,' more than 11,000 flights in the region had to be canceled during the initial days of the war.

Following a ceasefire agreement reached last month through Pakistani mediation, regional air travel has begun returning to normalcy. In addition to the UAE's announcement, Qatar Airways has stated it will resume flights to three Iraqi cities starting May 10.
