A woman has died after a suspected gas leak at a home in Malé, while a child was hospitalized and later transferred to ADK Hospital for further treatment

MALÉ: A woman has died following a suspected gas leak at a home in Capital Male city, Dhirukushi Goalhi, while a child was hospitalized after the incident.
The incident occurred at a house in the Scoop Goalhi area. The woman was taken to Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) but was pronounced dead upon arrival.
The child was also taken to IGMH and later transferred to ADK Hospital for treatment in a hyperbaric chamber.
Authorities have not yet released official details about the incident or confirmed the cause of death. Residents said a strong smell of gas was detected around the house.
