More than 1,200 police officers and staff participated in a nationwide unity walk to mark Police Service Day and highlight decades of dedicated community service.

Male’: The Maldives Police Service organized a nationwide solidarity walk on today morning starting from Republic Square in Male’ to inaugurate official celebrations for Police Service Day across the country.
The event commenced following the recitation of the official police pledge. Participants marched from Republic Square around the capital island before returning to the starting location to conclude the march.
Minister of Interior Homeland Security and Technology Ali Ihusaan attended the event alongside Commissioner of Police Ahmed Mohamed and senior officers. More than 1,200 personnel from various police directorates and civilian staff joined the walk in the Greater Male’ Region and participating administrative atolls.
Police authorities stated that the activity serves as a symbol of unity, honoring the long history of policing in the nation and the sacrifices made by officers to serve the public.
Community Engagement Activities
Additional public events are scheduled across Male’ and the atolls to mark the anniversary, including children’s festivals, family gatherings, and sports tournaments.
Police will host a special event titled Blues Family Night at the Social Center in Male’ featuring performances by local artists and cultural groups.
