Vessel operators have been advised to carry life jackets and communication equipment, avoid overloading boats and ensure passengers wear life jackets throughout their journeys.
Diving and water sports operators have also been urged to remain vigilant and avoid sea activities when weather conditions become unsafe, particularly during yellow or orange alerts.
